Pada kurikulum By Research mahasiswa tidak diwajibkan mengikuti perkuliahan, akan tetapi wajib mengikuti pembimbingan intensive dengan promotor dan co-promotor sesuai dengan jadwal yang disepakati bersama. Selain itu wajib memiliki publikasi artikel di 3 (tiga) jurnal ilmiah terakreditasi dan 1 (satu) jurnal ilmiah internasional.
